Welcome to Paul Baillie Coaching
THE VERY PERSONAL IMPACT OF STROKE AND APHASIA
Paul is a very good listener and a tremendous support of group members going through a similar process. He offers good listening skills, support and coaching to others with aphasia.

Aphasia Reconnect
Over 300,000 people in the UK suffer with Aphasia, many of them because of a stroke.
Speech and language therapy are the main types of treatment for this condition. Having a stroke and aphasia is life changing. It can leave you feeling alone, struggling to see a way forward and with a sense of loss and low confidence.
Over 3 years ago I had a stroke which gave me Aphasia. Overnight my life changed. The immediate impact was I could no longer work, and I struggled to speak. Whilst the official services did what they could, I discovered that success in recovery depended on a great many other things which were not available or relied on me working it out for myself.
If you are looking for the following, I may be able to help:
- A way to make sense of what is happening to you
- Tools to help you accelerate your speaking
- Building confidence in your communication with friends and family
- Understanding who you are post stroke, the changes to your identity
- How to cope with changes in relationships
- A sense of control over your recovery
How we move forward is different for each of us. As a qualified coach and mentor I’ll support you to work out the ways that are best for you.
WHAT THEY SAY
“Paul is a godsend. He understood the difficulties and frustrations that arise from Aphasia. His coaching helped me to realise the parts of my recovery that were down to me and helped build my confidence. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his coaching.”
